The Digital Architecture and Science of Building Technology team consists of three professors, four associate professors, and three associate research professors, including one Jiangsu Design Master, two of the Six Peaks Talents, and two winners of the Young Architects Award of the Architectural Society of China.The team's research directions include digital technology, construction technology, and architectural technology science, covering fields such as computational design, performance-based design, digital fabrication, spatial analysis, BIM-assisted architectural design, renovation technology for existing buildings, integrated building structures, green buildings and urban environments, natural lighting and solar energy utilization, healthy buildings, and intelligent buildings. In recent years, the team has undertaken multiple research tasks, including four National Key Research and Development Program, nine National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, and multiple provincial and ministerial-level research projects. The team focuses on cultivating compound talents who have both research and innovation spirit in architectural design and technology science. Two Jiangsu Provincial First-Class Courses and one Nanjing University Hundred-Level Course have been approved. In recent years, the team has supervised seven postgraduate students who have won the Excellent Academic and Professional Master's Degree Thesis Award in Jiangsu Province. The team actively combines scientific research with practice, obtaining five invention patents, two software copyrights, editing or participating in two provincial atlases, and nearly 80 domestic and international awards for completed projects.
