

The Teaching and Research Group of Architectural Design and Urban Design is committed to architectural design and its theory, urban morphology and urban design, undertakes relevant teaching and courses, and focuses on cultivating innovative talents of architecture in the new era with a solid professional foundation and broad disciplinary vision. The Teaching and Research Group is currently composed of 12 members, including 4 professors, 5 associate professors, 2 associate researchers and 1 lecturer. Three of them won the title of Jiangsu Design Master. The main research directions include architectural design and theory, urban morphology scientific research, urban design and theory, etc. Undertake a number of scientific research projects including key projects, general projects, youth funds of the National Natural Science Foundation, and provincial and ministerial education reform projects. At the same time, teachers have widely participated in design practice, and many have won important design awards at home and abroad. The Teaching and Research Group is responsible for the courses including the main design courses of all grades, the relevant theoretical courses supporting the design courses, such as the principles of public architecture, urban design theories and methods, and the expanded courses, such as urban morphology, landscape urbanism, and design methodology courses.
