    Assistant Prof. FENG, Yi

  • Brief Introduction

    Dr Yi Feng is an Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture and Urban Planning in Nanjing University. Before this, she worked as a research fellow at the Bartlett School of Planning, University College London (UCL). She completed her doctoral research at the Bartlett School of Planning, UCL, and received her master’s and bachelor’s degrees at Nanjing University.

    Her research focuses on the political economy of urban development, urban governance, urban financialisation, land operations and urban development model, and urban political ecology. She has publications in peer-reviewed journals, including Urban Geography, Environment and Planning A, Regional Studies, Political Geography, Land Use Policy, Cities, etc. Recently she has received the 2023 RSA & Routledge Early Career Award for her research on the financialisation of urban development.
